What January feels like
Snowdown lands late in the month and is the most Durango thing there is: a costumed, absurd, week-long excuse to get through the darkest stretch of winter. The narrow-gauge train runs its shortened winter route up to Cascade Canyon, and on still mornings the coal smoke hangs over Main Avenue.
