Weather by month
Gatlinburg
Tennessee
A wet, green town at the doorstep of the Smokies, where the fog is a permanent resident and every season shows up on time.
The best time to come
September and October are the clearest, calmest stretch — September for empty trails, October for the color, if you can stomach the traffic. Late May is the wildcard: wetter, but the synchronous fireflies at Elkmont happen then and almost nowhere else.
